It is simply my thoughts and opinions about people who are ridiculing and judging those that have are supporting the initiative. So what if they become social activists and humanitarians after watching a 30 minute video? Another supporter is another supporter. So what if you knew about Kony before them? That doesn't make you better than any of them. At least they've taken initiative to do something about the issue. So what if the LRA have been doing this for 30 years and no one was aware of the issue. People are doing something about it now. Yes, things should have been acted upon sooner, but think. Without the video, it might've taken another 10 or so years. There are those that think that this is just a fad, and people will move onto something else after 2 weeks. Yes, that seems likely, but the media attention it has gained over 2 days has brought the issue to the surface and will be difficult to be ignored.
Why can't people just accept the fact that every supporter is significant and if it means watching a 30 minute video to be more insightful of the world and the issues within in it, then so be it.
