rain, rain, go away!

Greetings beloved blog readers. Once again I have neglected my dear old blog. If this was a child, it'd probably be taken into foster care. ha ha.
Guess what? It's Australia Day tomorrow! I'm sure all of you have some fun things planned for tomorrow. Whether it's spending the day with your family or friends. Well I hate to rain on your parade, but it's predicted that there will be a fair bit of r-a-i-n. So it appears you might have to take a rain check on your day of fun.
Forgive me.
But if it makes you feel any better, my plans might be cancelled too. What a bummer >> I was really looking forward to watching the fireworks at Chipping Norton :(

HAVE A FANTASTIC LONG WEEKEND! :D

COMPLACENCY = X

FOCUS = √    (that's a tick)

ahhh. The words that Mr Simmonds lives by. Seriously. Every lesson he would write that on the board to make sure that we would not digress.
Too bad it didn't work.
And although I may have mind-numbingly stared at it for a straight 80 minutes throughout the entire year, it still failed to take any sort of effect after I've left the classroom.
Anyways, it is now day 7 of my much delayed challenge. If you have been following and reading them daily, I HAVE FAILED YOU :'( I started this challenge a few weeks ago, and I've only managed to reach day 7. This. Sucks. Balls. This was supposed to keep me motivated and break the spell of procrastination that I have bestowed upon myself. It didn't work. Clearly.
Something one should never say to another person (according to you).
Tell them they're not good enough, skinny enough, pretty enough, smart enough. Words to make someone feel insecure or feel as though they are not worthy. That's what I think should not escape one's lips. Think about it all you want, just don't say it aloud (mean girls). Ironically though, we get these words from our parents (the people that are supposed to love us unconditionally) more than anywhere else.

DAY SIX!

A place you have never visited but want to visit.
I want to visit anywhere foreign! Doesn't have to be overseas, just places of unfamiliarity filled with new experiences and sights to see! But in case that didn't suffice, I tried to get a little inspiration from this travel/back packing blog!

Needless to say, i'm immensely jealous and amazed right now! I mean, how lucky is this guy? FIVE-COURSE MEALS FOR ONLY $3!!! It doesn't get any better than that? Oh wait, it does.

up, up and away!

Allow me to recount a significant event that occurred on the 16th.
1. We saved a pigeon!
As we were walking across the semi-empty parking lot, we came across a pigeon that had a plastic bag caught around its neck and wing. So being the good samaritans that we were, we decided to lend the poor thing a helping "hand" (lol, I just self punned). So after chasing it to the far end of the lot and cornering it to a brick wall, it tried to fly away. But since it's wing was caught in the bag, it would fall down again. After a few more failed attempts of trying to escape, it hid under a car. And for some reason, it walked back out again and we managed to step on the bag, grab it, and release it. It then took flight and joined its feathered companions, living happily ever after. :)

day five!

Day 5: A person you'll never forget.
This question isn't specific enough! Does this apply to those that have passed away? Or are they still living?
eugh. I'll just assume that they meant those that have gone to a place among the clouds or reincarnated into another life form, whatever floats your religious boat!

The person i'll never forget is my grandma. Where do I begin? I'm sure we can all relate on the feelings and memories we have for these family members. So I won't put it down in words. I think that way, I can recall things more clearly.

Just peachy.

And I mean it. No sarcasm intended whatsoever.
This time last last year (that would be 2 years ago but not the exact date lol), I was bawling my eyes out.
Why? Because the idea of being apart from my Dad for 31 days tore me up inside. Thus, resulted in me drowning my pillow in salty tears.
Thinking about it now, I have no clue why I was so upset hahaha. I mean he goes back to China every year so it wasn't much of a difference. I think i'll blame it on hormones and that is is second nature for 14 year olds to overract!
But anyways, the present me isn't too flustered that my dad is going to be thousands of kilometres away. In fact, I think a "break" will do good for my parents! Although, him being away on Chinese New Year is kinda a bummer. Guess that's one less red pocket family member to spend the traditional holidays with!
Bollocks, he won't be here for Australia Day either :(  Guess that means we're not spending hours trapped in our car going on a family road trip!

Have a safe flight :)

Doyoobi desu!

translation: it's saturday!
Actually, It's currently 12:25am. So technically, it's a Sunday... but let us not worry about that because it is DAY FOUR OF THE SUPREME SLACKER'S CHALLENGE!
Day 4: Something you have never said but should or wanted to.
Time to travel back in time. Back to the year 2007.
You know the saying or the thing the priest says during a wedding "speak now or forever hold your peace"?
Well unfortunately, I wasn't nearly as wise or courageous back then as I am today. So here I am left feeling somewhat regretful. Anyways, it really isn't a big deal, so don't get all hyped up! hahaha
So what I should've done was confess my feelings to my crush. We were going to separate high schools anyway, so it wouldn't have been awkward seeing each other if he wasn't too keen on the idea of my infatuation. It's been almost 5 years (?) and sometimes when you look back, you can't help but question why you didn't just take a leap.

Carpe diem everyone, carpe diem.

a thousand apologies.

Who would have guessed that I'd slack off during my quest to complete the Supreme Slacker's Challenge? ohohoh
Anyways, this is day three :)
Day 3: A song / poem you know by heart and will never forget.

Never mind I'll find someone like yoooooooooou, I wish nothing but the best for yoooooooou too...

You guessed it! Someone Like You by Adele is a song that will be forever imprinted in my mind and the lyrics will stay with me to the grave. It's a combination of listening to it on repeat for several hours on end (most played song on ipod), and the raw emotion of the lyrics that make this indelible.

I also know the song 'Pocketful of Sunshine' by heart too. I think what inspired me to listen and sing aloud to the song  was Emma Stone in the hilarious movie,'Easy A'. I believe the song is also on my most played list.

Oh golly! Why don't I just show you my list?

1. Someone Like You
2. Listen (glee)
3. Pocketful of Sunshine
4. Year 10 dance song (we had to play it for rehearsals!)

DOS.

Day 2: Something you would never do, no matter what.
Before I start on day two of my challenge, I'd just like to point out that my little brother reads my blog. "Occasionally" he says.
And he added that what I wrote for day one did not count since I am only 15 and no one of that age could possibly travel the world. So, hopefully what I write today will meet his standards. lol jokes. I ain't letting a 12 year old boss me around. tuh.

The only thing that I can think of right now is to sleep without a blanket on. I just can't do it. Seriously. Even if it's super hot, my blanket and I can not be separated. All those wannabe psychiatrists out there, why do you think that this is so?

If you were hoping to learn something private about me, and think that this is not personal enough then leave a comment (i don't have a cbox just yet due to technical difficulties) and I'll come up with a better one!

DAY UNO.

Day 1: Something you have never done but would really love to
I would really love to travel the world. And not just the generic tourist locations like london, tokyo, paris etc. but places where I'll be able to develop a sense of identity and belonging. I have never been more excited to grow up, and start my journey with one single step (that was basically what we learnt from the last semester! haha). There are infinite wonders out there and I really can't wait to experience all, if not most of it :D
Let's just say that after watching The Motorcycle Diaries, Che Guevara has inspired me to hop on a (motor) bike and travel around South America!

I think The Hobbit has gotten the better of me.

I hope this will actually happen. Considering how much of a Bilbo Baggins I am.

I'm trusting on Gandalf to come knocking on my door.
